Larry Hettick, who brings 45 years of teaching experience to the school, is starting his second year as the administrator. He has a Master's degree in Educational Administration and a K-14 General Administrator Credential. His teaching experience includes 7 years of middle school, 7 years of high school, and 31 years at a community college. He frequently served as faculty president at the college and was elected state vice-president of the Community Colleges of California.

Patsy Shero is the Executive Assistant to Mr. Hettick. I have been blessed to serve as the Academy's secretary for the past seven years. There have been many changes in that short time, and it has been fun to watch and be a part of them. I really enjoy getting to interact with the children as one of the Chapel teachers, dispensers of hugs and bandaids, and grandmother. In fact, most of the children do call me 'Honey', just as my seven grandchildren do.

¡Hola! My name is Ariana Leon. My students call me Mrs. Ariana. I have been teaching at SACA for three years and I truly enjoy working at this school. I am proud to be a mother of two beautiful girls. I have been joyfully married for 11 years and am very grateful to God for him.

Hello, my name is Angela Ward and I am the first grade teacher. I have been teaching children for 9 years. Most of my experience is with 1st and 2nd grade students. I have taught Jr. High, but I love the younger children. They bring a beautiful insight into learning. I am new "again" to SACA. I taught here before from 2006-2010. We moved, but missed the area and school here so much that we came home. I also have been trained in the Scottish Rite Dyslexia Therapy program and earned all of my teaching hours to be certified. I just lack the test. I love teaching children to read and about God their creator. This makes my job the best around.

My name is Linda Harris. I worked in the public school system for 4 years in Copperas Cove, Texas. I am currently on my 7th year with San Angelo Christian Academy. I have taught combined classes (1st/2nd, 2nd/3rd), 2nd grade, Bible, Spanish, and History! I serve where needed. My greatest joy is watching the children mature and come to a knowledge that their Creator loves them even more than I do.

Marsha Tharp teaches Science. The focus for the science department is to develop an understanding that God is the Creator and sustainer of the universe while establishing foundational science facts and skills. We hope to inspire a curiosity, wonder, and appreciation of God's creation as we show how science integrates into the student's everyday life. We incorporate problemsolving techniques and scientific inquiry in life, earth, physical, chemical, space, and environmental sciences. The class mascots this year will be two corn snakes. May God bless you.
I am Becky Mahon – Kindergarten Teacher. I am thrilled to be an addition to the wonderful staff at SACA. What a bunch of caring and loving people. I am Monte Mahon – music teacher. After spending 45 years experiencing different types of music, I've been given the opportunity to share some of them. This being my first time in a classroom, I know this year will be a learning experience for all. Music is said to be a window to the soul, and my goal is to expand that window while having fun with music.

Hello! My name is Valerie Miller. I am the elementary school aide. This is my second year at SACA and I absolutely love it! I enjoy working with children and I look forward to a fun-filled year.

My name is Christy Kemp. As of December, 2010, I became a certified teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. After teaching for two and one-half years in the pre-kindergarten class at SACA, I decided that I loved teaching, so I went to Angelo State University to finish college. I feel very fortunate to now be employed at SACA as I begin my degreed teaching career within a Christian environment.
I have a fifth grader who attends SACA Academy, and my husband is manager of San Angelo State Park.
I love being with children. My goal is not only to model Christian attitudes and behaviors in my class, but to encourage these precious third graders to follow God’s Word while learning.
